The future is electric, whether you’re talking about four wheels, two wheels, or even three. Electric motorcycles are particularly intriguing, delivering instant torque in a very light package, and the Voxan Wattsman packs a whopping 200 horsepower. That’s more than many electric cars that weigh three times as much.

The Voxan Wattsman was revealed at the Paris Auto Show, and its creators claim it is the most powerful electric motorcycle in the world ( though I imagine other constructors may say things are différent http://gas2.org/2013/08/16/erik-buell-racing-patents-hybrid-motorcycle/ )

Styled after cruiser-style American motorcycles, the Voxan Wattsman uses a single electric motor to crank out 200 horsepower and 147 ft-lbs of torque, motivating the 771 pound cruiser from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

Yup, it’s a big bulky brute, no doubt, despite the use of an aluminum frame and carbon fiber wheels, which is likely why the Wattsman is limited to a top speed of just 105 mph. The 12.8 kWh battery pack is said to be good for about 110 miles of driving range,, and comprises most of the Wattman’s massive heft, though representatives claim a DC II Combo charger can deliver an 80% charge in just 30 minutes.

No price has been set for the hand-built Wattsman, and this is totally one of those “ If you have to ask the price, then you can’t afford it ”
